WHO IS DoodlyCouch?

DoodlyCouch - created by Amy Morgan, MSC.

Amy Morgan has a Master's degree in Counseling, and a Bachelor's of Science degree in Behavioral Science and Ethics.  She is currently earning her Doctorate of Health Education degree.

The concept of DoodlyCouch books came from a desire to create a really unique type of journal for children - but children who aren't old enough to write wouldn't be able to use them, and frankly, sometimes kids (and adults) have a hard time finding just the right words to express their emotions and thoughts.  So... Doodling! Using the combination of doodling, and a therapist's couch, DoodlyCouch was born.  The doodling/drawing journals are designed to be a journal and an expressive outlet. Each blank page asks at the top, "How do you feel today?" and then leaves ample room for doodling, drawing, or writing the feelings & thoughts of the day.

In addition to the drawing & doodling journals, Ms. Morgan started designing self-therapy workbooks.  These use a direct approach, meant for some serious self-reflection and self-assessment. Work through the workbooks (start with "Heal Yourself," and then maybe move on to "Find Yourself"), answer the questions as honestly as you can, and see what you learn about yourself. This is designed to help you face your own obstacles, move yourself out of your own way, and help you set & reach personal goals for your life.

For your spiritual journey, there are several workbooks - prayer journals, daily walk assessment journals, etc. Again, all designed for self-assessment and reflection.

Additionally, Ms. Morgan has authored mental health focused training workbooks and curriculum.
